Enter two values to calculate their ratio. The calculator will simplify the ratio to its lowest terms and show it in multiple formats.
What is a Ratio?
A ratio: A comparison of two quantities. For example, 12:8 means "12 to 8" or "for every 12 of one thing, there are 8 of another."
Simplified Ratio: The lowest form where both numbers have no common factors. 12:8 simplifies to 3:2.
Scaled Ratio: Multiply both parts by the same number. 3:2 scaled by 2 becomes 6:4.
Real-World Examples

- Aspect Ratios: A 16:9 screen ratio is a comparison of width to height
- Financial Ratios: P/E ratio compares price to earnings
